Joseph Russell Dendy served as the Republican Party chairman for Cobb County, Georgia from 2011 to 2015.

In May of 2016, he was arrested at his home in West Cobb after two male victims alleged he had sexually abused them when they were 4 and 11 years old, respectively.

He was charged with:

  • 3 counts of enticing a child for indecent purposes
  • 4 counts of child molestation
  • 4 counts of cruelty to children in the first degree
  • 1 count aggravated sexual battery

The incidents were said to have occurred in the closet inside Burnt Hickory Baptist Church, the fitting room of a department store and a bathroom.

During a pretrial hearing in June of 2016, when prosecutors were expected to introduce evidence of further child molestation by GOP chairman Joseph Russell Dendy against six other children, dating back to 1958, he unexpectedly pled guilty to the initial offenses and was sentenced to 30 years in prison.

In addition to his child molestation in Georgia, he was also accused of molesting an underage girl in Laurens, South Carolina, while he was serving as GOP chairman. He was also charged with offenses in Michigan, indicating that much of his life was spent as a Republican sexual predator and pedophile.

Conservative pedophile Joseph Russell Dendy is currently incarcerated.
